The Grand Lion

At home I wrote a story called The Grand Lion. I brought it into school and published It. Mrs Gribben had to help me with my punctuation. My goal is to use speech marks in my writing.

Once upon a time there was a lion called Leonardo. He was very brave and aggressive.
One humid day he was planning to fly to Kandumbran. His best friend and fiance walked in. His best friend was Marcel and his fiance was Helena.
“What are you doing?”  asked Marcel.
“I’m planning to fly to Kandumbran,”  Leonardo told Marcel.
“Lions can’t fly,” Marcel joshed.
“If you find a way. Can you take me with you?” Helena asked.
“Ok,” Leonardo agreed.
Two days later he had made a flying machine. He called it the knife but it sounds like kinife.
“ C’mon Helena. Let’s try it out,” said Leonardo.
“Ok,” said Helena.
“A hop and a skip and away we go,” they shouted.
“I’m, I’m, I’m, flying,”  Helena shouted.
“To Kandumbran Knife” said Leonardo. Two hours later.
“Um,” Leonardo mumbled.
“What?” said Helena
“We went off course. We are over Drokae, ” Leonardo said.
“Well land! I am getting sick,” Helena asked.
” Fine,” Leonardo said.
”Thank you so much. I love you,” Helena whispered.
”Wait this is Kandumbran,” Leonardo cheered.
They never returned to see Marcel but Marcel made Leonardo a big marble statue and that my friend, is the Grand Lion.
